The PowerEdge 1955 not only shares many of the features of the PowerEdge 1950, but it also shares a common system architecture. Customers who require the performance and manageability of the PowerEdge 1950 can easily integrate the PowerEdge 1955 into their data center with few changes. For example, the Baseboard Management Controller commonality between platforms allows the PowerEdge 1955 to appear the same way to management applications as existing PowerEdge servers..

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
